API Council Accomplishments

Our steering committee and over 40 member organizations have helped better the lives of underserved APIs through its political influence with local and state lawmakers, through the development of reports that address a scarcity of data on APIs, and through coalition-building and grassroots mobilizing that results in solution and community-driven strategies that benefit the whole.

Facilitated numerous meetings with the SF Mayor, Board of Supervisors and city department heads to discuss funding and community needs.

Informed community members and built the capacity of local organizations through community briefings and workshops on issues including police, immigrant, and health care care reform, and local ballot initiatives.
